Penicillin procaine...................................... 200mg
Dihydrostreptomycin sulphate................. 250mg

DESCRIPTION
This product is white or off-white suspension.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIONS
The combination of procaine penicillin and dihydrostreptomycin acts additive and in some cases synergistic. Procaine penicillin is a small-spectrum antibiotic with a bactericidal action against
mainly Gram-positive bacteria like Staphylococcus, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, Erysipelothrix,
Listeria etc. Dihydrostreptomycin is an aminoglycoside with a bactericidal action against mainly Gram-negative bacteria like Campylobacter, Haemophilus, E.coli, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Salmonella
INDICATIONS
Arthritis, mastitis and gastrointestinal, respiratory and urinary tract infection caused by penicillin and dihydrostreptomycin sensitive micro-organisms, like Campylobacter, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, E.coli, Erysipelothrix, Haemophilus, Klebsiella, Listeria, Pasteurella, Salmonella, penicillinase negative Streptococcus and Staphylococcus spp. in calves, cattle, goats, sheep and swine.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to penicillin, procaine and aminoglycosides.
Administration to animals with a serious impaired renal function.
Prohibit concurrent administration with tetracyclines, chloramphenicol,
macrolides and lincosamides.
SIDE EFFECTS Administration of therapeutic dosages of penicillin G procaine can result in abortion in sows.
Ototoxicity, neurotoxicity or nephrotoxicity.
Hypersensitivity reactions.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
For intramuscular administration; shake well before use.
Cattle, calves, goats, sheep and swine: 1ml per 25kg body weight for 3 days.
Do not administer more than 20.0ml in cattle, more than 10.0ml in swine and more than 5.0ml in calves, sheep and goats per injection site.
WITHDRAWAL TIMES
For meat: pigs 18 days, sheep 31 days, cattle 23 days.
For milk: 60 hours.
